Mary Ann Fell, 83, of Trumbull, CT and formerly of Hastings-on-Hudson died on September 25, 2013. Born and raised in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late Santo and Anna Equale. In 1950, Mary Ann married Colin Fell at St. Patrick's Church in Brooklyn. In 1963, the family moved to Hastings-on-Hudson. Mary Ann was a long-time parishioner of St. Matthew's R.C. Church and led a folk group there. She had a passion for singing and was a member of the Hudson Valley Singers. Mary Ann also taught Religious Education at St. Matthew's and was a Girl Scout Leader for many years. She spent countless hours knitting and crocheting baby blankets and lap rugs for organizations in need. She loved to attend to her garden but loved spending time with her grandchildren even more.
She is survived by her children Sheila Scimone, Gregory (Joyce) Fell, Lisa (Dan) Labella and Geoffrey (Lisa) Fell, grandchildren Michael (Caroline), Jennifer, Daniel, Katie, John, Nicole and Steven and great grandchildren Colin and Moira. Mary Ann was predeceased by her husband Colin in 1989.
Mass of the Resurrection 10am Monday Church of St. Matthew, R.C., Hastings-on-Hudson. Visiting 4-8pm Sunday Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home.
